Flag Program

The Ashland Kiwanis Club sponsors a Flag Program each year from October 1 through September 30 of the following year. Our club has been providing this service to the community for over 40 years. This is a major fund raising activity that helps to support our many programs for children and others in the community.

Weather permitting, Kiwanis places nearly 300 American flags at business locations throughout Ashland. The placement of flags is done on most National Holidays, plus some special dates from time to time. Flags are also placed along Siskiyou Boulevard. Individual citizens may subscribe to the flag program and have their flag placed along the Boulevard. You may choose to honor a Veteran or another special person in your life.

The annual $65 subscription fee helps us support programs including Key Club sponsorship, Special Olympics, youth baseball, school reading programs, to name a few.

It’s easy to sign-up for the Flag Program. If you have any questions, or wish to sign-up for a flag, call Mike Bakke at (541)488-8065, or see any Ashland Kiwanis member.

The annual Flag Holidays are: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Juneteenth Day, Independance Day, Labor Day, Patriot’s Day, Veterans Day, and Pearl Harbor Day.
